My last interview with an artist from the Marshall art building was Susan Majewski. She spoke of her inspirations being landscape and colors. Also, mentioning her love for the transition to fall colors and the fall twilight transformation and what the colors bring to the table.
Also, likes bold colors, wants to paint with muted colors but does is not successful. She flattens the colors out and paints over them. Also, says that color and shape work together to bring about beautiful images/art.
I asked her what medium she uses, and she says that she does not limit herself to one medium, that if she did use only one medium, it would limit her herself and would lose sight of the many things you would be able to create with other mediums. I mentioned her career and when she began it, she said she had majored in art and that she had been into her long before she was in college, perhaps as a child she found the love and attraction between the possibilities of art and it beauty.
I asked her of her inspiration and she said it was her teacher (sadly, I had forgotten to speak with her teacher who was present and displaying her art as well).
