When I visited the Marshall building, the third fine artist I happened upon would be Daniel Fleming. This artist, I was able to speak to and discuss why and what he paints, what drives him and where does he get all his ideas from. As it turned out, he began painting with acrylic, and when he begins a painting, he chooses a color to paint the whole painting with in order to cover up any white/open spaces. However, he does not use paint alone to portray his work, he includes fabrics and any forms of material to give it depth and perception. When he does not like his painting, he'd paint on top of it to have an interesting looking painting as a result, while being able to alter what he dislikes about the work. His inspiration for his paintings would be the news around the world, any documentaries that depict much meaning, everything that goes on in the surroundings and environment.
